There is a stubborn myth that a custom-printed paddle is somehow a downgrade — that a logo on the face means you are trading performance for looks. It is worth putting to rest, because it is simply not how these paddles are made. The design is dye-sublimated into the face, not stuck on top of it, so it has no bearing on how the paddle plays.

The print is in the face, not on it
Dye-sublimation turns the ink into a gas that bonds into the surface of the face material. There is no raised layer, no sticker, and no added thickness — the graphite or fiberglass face plays exactly as it would blank. You cannot feel the design under the ball, and it will not peel, because there is nothing sitting on the surface to peel.
What really drives performance: core and face
Two things decide how a paddle plays: the polypropylene honeycomb core and the face material bonded to it. The core sets the overall feel and dwell time; the face sets control versus power.
